Are Andaman and Nicobar Islands safe for solo female travelers?

Andaman and Nicobar Islands are generally safe for solo female travelers. India in general has made considerable efforts to increase safety for solo female travelers and this even applies to these islands. The locals are usually friendly and willing to assist tourists. Of course, common sense safety tips like not venturing out alone at night and keeping your belongings safe are always good practices. The islands do have police stations and an Indian Coast Guard station in case of any emergencies. Most of the towns are safe and resorts have their own security measures as well. However, it's always wise to stay vigilant and follow safety protocols such as informing loved ones of your whereabouts or planned itinerary.
