Is Amritapuri safe for solo female travelers?

I spent 1 month in Amma's ashram in Amritapuri for the second time. This is an amazing place if you're ready to take on some spiritual teachings from a guru/avatar. Amma is one of the rare living enlightened people on this planet, so it's really purifying and gratifying to spend some time in her presence. The ashram is located between the ocean and a river and has all facilities required to live a modest Western life with a great touch of India.
