Is Vodnjan safe for solo female travelers?

Vodnjan is generally a safe city for solo female travelers. A majority of the locals are friendly and most speak English, so communication will be relatively easy. The city is characteristically peaceful and is not known for violent crime. However, just like any other place, it is advisable to exercise the usual precautions such as avoiding unlit areas at night and being aware of your belongings to avoid petty thefts.
