Public transportation:Safe
Zhanjiang is generally safe when it comes to public transportation. The city's infrastructure is well-developed, offering a variety of public transportation options, such as buses, mini-vans, biking or walking. Buses are typically safe with regular schedules and routes. However, they can be crowded during peak hours which may cause some discomfort. Taxi drivers normally respect traffic rules and most of them use taximeters which decreases the chance of being overcharged. Additionally, many locals cannot speak fluent English, which may pose difficulty in communication but typically doesn't affect safety. Always remain vigilant and avoid travelling late at night.
