Is Nanjing worth visiting?

Is Nanjing safe for women?

I've been living in Nanjing for about 2 months now and I've never felt this safe walking alone, even at night, in a city. The security in terms of crime/stealing/etc... is really good (heard of friends forgetting personal items somewhere and they were able to retrieve it the next day without being stolen). Also saw lots of police stations and posts in the streets so felt really safe overall.
