Is Harbin Safe for Solo Female Travelers?
Harbin is generally safe to visit even as a solo female traveler. Crime rates against foreigners are relatively low, and the locals are friendly and helpful to tourists. It is always recommended however to exercise common sense and be aware of your surroundings, particularly at night, and in crowded public places. As a woman fresh out of uganda I was surprised that I could go to a bar order drinks, dance , hoot and hooler all while being respected by the people around me. There's a large number of security cameras and security personel so everything is monitored 24/7 and the people are very friendly even when you don't speak mandarin but even more when you do The streets are relatively clean and the place is just beautiful
