Public transportation in Curiciba, Brazil is generally very safe and efficient. It's one of the cities in Brazil that is most famous for its revolutionary BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system. Buses are well-maintained, frequent, and reach most areas of the city, including tourist attractions. Is Curitiba safe for women?

Curitiba is a great city to live in Brazil, but like any big city, we can never ignorate crime, which also happens here! I don’t like walking alone on the streets at night, but I always take Uber and it’s very safe. In the evening or at restaurants, it’s always very welcoming.

Curitiba is a friendly city in certain areas, but it's good to always be attentive. I don't recommend being alone on the street at night. Some regions are more dangerous, so stay alert. Compared to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, it is much safer here.
