Florianópolis is a place with beautiful beaches and infrastructure. It is worth visiting and enjoying the tours, appreciating the landscapes, and indulging in the dining options as well. The cost of living is a bit higher.
Posted: December 8, 2024It is a really nice city, the public transportation is not good at all so I recommend having a bike or a car rented. Overall people were really kind, of course in the center of the city is more dangerous so you need to be extra careful there

I was in Florianópolis for 7 days. I started in the south of the island where I explored the chilly beaches and the nightlife with friends from around the world. Later, I went to the north of the island where the beaches are calmer and there are many families.

It one of the most secure cities in Brazil but you still have to be cautious when traveling, avoid walking or using public transport alone late at night, choose accommodations near main streets or more familiar neighborhoods

I went running almost every morning before sunrise and in the beach there were only elderly people, in the streets that were close to the beaches it was pretty calm as well. Maybe in the evenings motorcycles were wild but just messing around probably just because carnaval times.

Hi! I've lived in Floripa for almost 8 years, studying Biology Sciences. I love nature and hiking, and, fortunately, this city offers a lot of options for that!

Hi! I’m Rafa, I’m 24 and I grew up in Floripa. My 2 favorite things in this world are my beautiful island, and traveling to know new places and people. I’m majoring in Psychology and I lived in Utah USA for 2 seasons. I’d love to meet travelers and show them my hometown :)
