Belo Horizonte is a relatively safe city by Brazilian standards. During the day, it is safe to take public transportation and walk around the city. However, the city becomes a bit more dangerous at night and in some specific areas, so if you go out at night, be accompanied or stay in well-populated places. Always keep an eye on personal belongings, especially wallets and cell phones.
Posted: January 30, 2025Comfy town due to the hospitality of people from Minas Gerais (Belo Horizonte’s district). Although, such as any place in Brazil, you got to pay attention to muggers and keep your phone hidden while taking a walk. Overall, a safe city.

Love meeting new people, arts, thrifting, historical places and live music. In my free time, I’m a home cook and learning how to dance 💃

I’m a Brazilian working remotely and traveling whenever possible. Have been living in the US, Spain, and Colombia. Currently exploring my home country. Always open to meet new people, places, and learn more about other people, their stories, experiences, and cultures. I love to listen to people talking about what makes their eyes shine! ✨💛
