Belo Horizonte is a relatively safe city by Brazilian standards. During the day, it is safe to take public transportation and walk around the city. However, the city becomes a bit more dangerous at night and in some specific areas, so if you go out at night, be accompanied or stay in well-populated places. Always keep an eye on personal belongings, especially wallets and cell phones.
Posted: January 30, 2025Comfy town due to the hospitality of people from Minas Gerais (Belo Horizonte’s district). Although, such as any place in Brazil, you got to pay attention to muggers and keep your phone hidden while taking a walk. Overall, a safe city.

Olá, sou artista visual! Amo de visitar museus, locais históricos, parques, experimentar comidas novas, bares, cafés e passeios low-cost. Moro em Betim, mas Belo Horizonte é onde vivo. Quero conhecer pessoas, línguas novas e trocar modos e culturas.
