I felt completely safe and absolutely loved the country—it’s stunning! I took a day trip to Tatev, where I rode the world’s longest cable car (a Guinness World Record holder), and the views were absolutely breathtaking. I thought the long drive from Yerevan would be exhausting, but it was 100% worth it—one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. As for Yerevan, it’s a fantastic city to explore on foot. Everything essential is within walking distance, and I discovered so many amazing spots just by wandering around. Some of my favorites include: - 404F – Incredible coffee - Sergio Boutique – High-end fashion at surprisingly low prices - Cafesjian – Amazing food - MOV – Recommended by a friend (didn’t get to try it myself) - Pablo – A club/restaurant with a great vibe - Aperitivo – Another must-visit spot I really enjoyed - A local bakery run by the sweetest woman – I don’t remember the name, but I can send the location! Feel free to DM me. Before you leave, make sure to buy some tea from Chaicoff! They have incredible blends infused with natural herbs, black, and green tea—it’s truly something special. I regret not stocking up! Overall, Armenia is a beautiful, safe country with friendly locals. Just keep in mind that very few people speak English, so a little patience goes a long way!

We stayed in Yerevan for 3 days, and I can’t wait to return. A charming but vibrating place with many kind people and excellent food (I’m vegetarian, but still found many delicious meals). I’m overall not a brave person but I felt very safe during the trip. We used public transport and we left Armenia by train to Georgia, and the train was also comfortable and safe, staff was nice, and Armenian landscape was so beautiful that I really want to return to discover more of this georgious country.

before going there, i read some posts about travel experience in Yerevan on Chinese social media. and they say that eating there can be even more expensive than in tbilisi. they recommend a few buget restaurants and i tried two of them. Fourchette buffet is the better one. i ordered some beans, beetroot and two chicken wings which was recommended by the friendly server. they also have bread and other set meals. mine cost around 1500 which is an affordable price in yerevan.
Posted: June 9, 2024Experienced: May, 2024I LOVED Yerevan/armenia in general! Felt like a blend of European/middle eastern/russian/central Asian cultures. Hotels & airbnb’s were more expensive than I was expecting. The food was delicious. I recommend doing a couple of day trips down south and also up to lake sevan
Posted: April 24, 2024I was in Yerevan for a week, and I had a great time! It’s a small city, so a week is enough. The people there are very friendly, the food very delicious, and the prices cheap! Would go again, but maybe in the summer :)

My very first solo trip. Experienced snow for the very first time. Found walking in the snow tricky which is quiet contrary to what it seems. People are friendly, it's safe and overall very pleasant experience.
Posted: February 12, 2024I spent 6 days on a solo trip in Armenia. My favorite place in Yerevan was the Modern Arts Museum, a really beautiful collection of artwork. I also took 3 day tours out of the city, all of them very affordable. I loved Noravank Monastery, Garni Temple, and Tsaghkador the most. Felt very safe being alone.

Beautiful trip! I would recommend it to everyone. Safe, nice nature, kind and loving people, delicious food—everything is very cheap. We used public transport, and there was no problem. Best hiking spots: Garni, Dilijan, Sevan.
Posted: January 9, 2024Armenia is amazing if you are a girl. Locals are very sweet and respectful, they would never let you carry a heavy bag by yourself and everyone is always willing to show you around or give directions. Taxi is available and affordable and there will always be an empty room at a hotel. The local food is a form of art. And everything is VERY cheap. Overall just an amazing place to visit!!
Posted: November 18, 2023I was there for 2 weeks and practically ate my way through all of Armenia. The prices are reasonable, places are interesting, people are nice and friendly. Overall, it's worth it. Delicious wines and plenty of monasteries.

For me it is very safe. I wouldn't recommend leaving personal belongings somewhere without watch but other than that there aren't many pickpocketers around. There ara some cases of sexual assaults. Usually instead if applying to police people tend to apply to their families and friends
Posted: January 24, 2025Armenia is one of the safest countries in the world and mostly there is no crime, women can walk alone during night and be in safe, there are very few people who would try to harm someone, but police is fast and will fix that situation.
