Yerevan is my love now! Barbie city (it’s literally pink) where all the restaurants are daaamn fine (except some fastfood gyros, but it was cheap enough to forgive). I can’t be objective about safety or budget stuff because I was always with my partner (who is the Armenian who arrived to complete the repatriation procedure and let me just rest). But I got something about consumerism here! Lahmajun — must-try dish (contain meat), Cascade, National Gallery, International ethnic bar Calumet, Art-quarter — must-visit. + city centre isn’t huge, that’s why didn’t travel by public transport. Taxi is VERY cheap after Russia, so be ready to walk a lot. Tourism is popular here, so many establishments serve in English/Russian.

Safety: overall safe, no issues, but old men were giving me weird stares constantly Things to do: definitely visit the symphony of stones if you want to go to outside the city, really beautiful there, though the entrance has a fee (as i remember 300 dram), and the place is pretty small. Inside the Yerevan didn’t find many places to visit, though I didn’t came prepared enough (my main goal was to visit Okean Elzy concert), so don’t know what to suggest Food: Tan and Lahmajo in the city center is a good cheap place with traditional armenian food. Just next door located more bougiee restaurant with higher prices and european food. Nice too. For supermarkets - SAS and Yerevan city have a good amount of different products to choose from Budget: 600$ for 2 people for 6 days. Ended up spending the whole amount (200$ was for the hotel). But we ate in restaurants primarily (cause we didn’t have a kitchen) Accommodation: at first we booked a room in THE BASEMENT and of course we left, BEWARE THIS PROPERTY!!! The address: 4 Atenqi, 0012 Yerevan, Armenia Ended up booking a hotel, don’t have the name unfortunately, but it was nice 3* hotel Transport: subway is very old, the buses though are new and comfortable. Very cheap taxi
Posted: July 2, 2025A 100% perfect trip to the Yerevan, Armenia 🇦🇲. It was group trip, we met 2 weeks before it on the group in telegram for students. We decided to go to the Yerevan because we are W&T participants and visa is our necessity. So we get our visas and spend great time together 🌹🍷

before going there, i read some posts about travel experience in Yerevan on Chinese social media. and they say that eating there can be even more expensive than in tbilisi. they recommend a few buget restaurants and i tried two of them. Fourchette buffet is the better one. i ordered some beans, beetroot and two chicken wings which was recommended by the friendly server. they also have bread and other set meals. mine cost around 1500 which is an affordable price in yerevan.
Posted: June 9, 2024Experienced: May, 2024I LOVED Yerevan/armenia in general! Felt like a blend of European/middle eastern/russian/central Asian cultures. Hotels & airbnb’s were more expensive than I was expecting. The food was delicious. I recommend doing a couple of day trips down south and also up to lake sevan

I consider the center of Yerevan very safe even late at night, but probably wouldn’t walk around not central areas all by myself after 11pm. Generally, avoid areas where you’re all alone, so if you somehow come across a drunk or a creep you can call for help. People are very quick to help here, they’ll rush to you and make sure you get home safe.
