Yerevan is one of the safest cities in the world, but you need to know about some regions to avoid especially at night like 3rd mas, Charbax, Qanaqe, near the circus, and Halabyan street. The city center, Komitas, Ajapnyak are safe.

As a local here in Yerevan I feel completely safe when walking at night or interacting with strangers. Of course some events may happen but usually Yerevan is safe and hospitable both for locals and tourists.

It's 8th safest country in the WORLD (2025 info) Many people don't lock their main doors or cars in the nighttime. Most people know each other so it lowers crime probability. Anyways, stay safe, girls. Everywhere in the world
Posted: May 3, 2025While generally safe, the Caucasian mentality may seem unusual to tourists and can lead to conflicts, so caution is advised. Generally, everyone is very gentle and can help you anytime, even if you do not need help :)
Posted: April 27, 2025It is very safe during the day, but sometimes at night if its a lonely road some cars stop… they dont come out but I feel threatened a little bit. Once I got my wallet stolen. Apart from that it is a good place
Posted: April 16, 2025Yerevan has generally been safe for me in the 25 years of my life here. Petty crime is low but I’d still advise to keep a watch on your items. I have, however, been groped without my consent in public several times. The risk of sexual harassment is still low compared to many other places in the world, but you’re still gonna get started at and receive unwanted attention especially if you’re even slightly alt. That’s the main thing making me uncomfortable here, but I would say as a tourist you’ll be fine!

Safety: overall safe, no issues, but old men were giving me weird stares constantly Things to do: definitely visit the symphony of stones if you want to go to outside the city, really beautiful there, though the entrance has a fee (as i remember 300 dram), and the place is pretty small. Inside the Yerevan didn’t find many places to visit, though I didn’t came prepared enough (my main goal was to visit Okean Elzy concert), so don’t know what to suggest Food: Tan and Lahmajo in the city center is a good cheap place with traditional armenian food. Just next door located more bougiee restaurant with higher prices and european food. Nice too. For supermarkets - SAS and Yerevan city have a good amount of different products to choose from Budget: 600$ for 2 people for 6 days. Ended up spending the whole amount (200$ was for the hotel). But we ate in restaurants primarily (cause we didn’t have a kitchen) Accommodation: at first we booked a room in THE BASEMENT and of course we left, BEWARE THIS PROPERTY!!! The address: 4 Atenqi, 0012 Yerevan, Armenia Ended up booking a hotel, don’t have the name unfortunately, but it was nice 3* hotel Transport: subway is very old, the buses though are new and comfortable. Very cheap taxi

My boyfriend gave me a trip to Armenia on March 8. I had not been on vacation for 3 years before. I am very glad that we went to Armenia. It is cheap here, for two of us it was a little over $300 for a week. The food here is great everywhere, go to any place and you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products. Accommodation is generally affordable, we rented through Airbnb. My boyfriend and I rented a car in Yerevan and went driving around Armenia, gasoline is more expensive here than in Russia, it is better to take a gas or electric car. There are problems with parking in Yerevan and with traffic in general (there are a lot of cars). There are a lot of reckless drivers on the roads, they do not drive according to the rules. If you decide to travel around Armenia by car, take an SUV, the roads are very bad in some places. Be careful behind the wheel, especially on serpentines. I personally saw how a huge truck more than 5 meters long overtook the same truck on a turn.
