Safe. Beautiful. Affordable. You will enjoy your time. It's better to stay in the capital near the transport links. Bank cards aren't frequently used, so it's preferable to bring cash or exchange money upon arrival in Algeria. You're very welcome.

It depends on the place you are, but it's generally fine. You need to be careful as you would anywhere in the world. Prefer well-known and lively places like Val d'Hydra, Ben Aknoun, Hydra, Dely Brahim, Sidi Yahia, and Algiers Center.
Posted: April 17, 2025It's a big city. It is pretty safe but you need to be smart and self aware, you better be conscious about your environment. Apart from that nothing to worry about. There are a lot of helpful people, the locals are generally nice.

Hey !!! ๐ I'm Yamina from Algiers! At 23 and still a student, I'm all about making mistakes to figure out who I am and explore myself ! Hahaha . I'm a travel enthusiast, art lover, and always up for discovering new places. Wandering the streets and soaking up the sun are my jams. Music is my constant companion; I listen to it all the time and adore attending concerts.
