Not gonna lie, I’m a birder who talks about birds wayyyy too much. But not so much that we can’t have a good convo lol Please reach out if you need a place to stay while in the RGV. Because I bird so much, I plan to travel the world starting next year. I’ve done lots of domestic travel around the US.

I’m a high school language teacher, and although I’m older, I have a youthful attitude. I like to meet new people, try new food, and learn something new as I explore new places. I prefer spending longer times in 1 place rather than a day or two in many places. Plain and simple. I love to host visitors and take them around, too.

Seeking quality guests as too many guests on Couchsurfing are outright rude or irresponsible -- or both. Also, too many nudists and/or sexual predators on that site. Too few female hosts. Hello, I am a local pass in. I am 34 years old. I know El Paso pretty well in an out. Other places I’ve lived include Portland, Oregon, and Atlanta, Georgia. I am fluent in Spanish. Looking forward to meeting new people from around the world! I would love to travel, Europe, have many pins saved on my map that I want to go to countries include Ireland, England, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and areas of the Mediterranean.
Florence
Hello, My name is Florence. I’m 19, and excited to learn more about this app. I am finishing my first year of college studying for my major in business administration. I have one cat, one dog, two turtles, and a handful of fish. While I can’t offer a place for others to stay at when traveling since I’m sort of renting a room, I am more than happy to offer itinerary advise (free or with budget in mind). I’ve lived from Galt to Arbuckle here in California, so feel free to ask any questions on the best spots to check out.

Los Angeles native pretending that I'm still a little chubby baby as long as my face hides the horrible, unforgivable truth. No one has to know. You'll lie for me, your new best friend, won't you? Aw, you're the best. I have an invisible disability that slowly but surely will make it impossible for me to travel at all (at best). My goal is to grind out a world tour in small bursts , meet beautiful people & make friends across the world. I've seen both wonders and horrors beyond comprehension in this life, and I aim to see much, much more. I have a giant sense of humor that can be anywhere from silly, ironic, a bit dark (if present company is comfortable with it), but I'll also make you suffer through some very lame dad jokes. I learned to laugh through the hard times, and now I always do it. I do best with people who aren't uptight, judgemental, disrespectful, or bigots. If you try and drop hints about something, you're wasting your time. I prefer being told like it is. If you have nasty things to say about marginalized groups, walk on, sister. I'm not the fashionable circus freak for you. Be kind to others in this short life! I'm told I'm a firecracker & I don't take shit from anyone despite being very affable. I love to help people if I can. I'm an ambivert, so it's accurate to say that I could spend weeks alone like it was nothing, but also spend that same duration with a throng of other people. Just don't be surprised when I have random days where all I can do is rest. I tend to be a bit flaky as I never know what the next day brings. I'm really excited to add some spice and joy to your life and vice versa. :)

Overall I didn't feel the safest if I wasn't in a super crowded or public place. I didn't feel to at ease walking the streets as a solo traveller. It wasn't super easy to get around without getting an uber but that's the case for most of North America. I was on a tight budget but there are lots of hotels offering shared female's rooms with lockers. That was a cool experience.

Miami really was a an experience on it’s own! The beach and the weather were just right and the people were extremely nice. I stayed in a hostel in South Beach and the girls in my room were lovely too🥰 It is an affordable option to a hotel or Airbnb. It is a very expensive city and I would absolutely recommend the Cafe‘s on Washington Ave!!
