Couple travel

I felt safe in Tenerife, although I’m not sure if it was because of the island itself or because I was with my boyfriend. I highly recommend going kayaking to see turtles and dolphins, such an unforgettable experience ! There are plenty of great activities on GetYourGuide, and I also took a trip to Mount Teide for the sunset and stargazing, which was magical. When it comes to restaurants, be cautious, there are many tourist traps where servers stop you in the street, make you believe they’re offering you a free starter, and then charge you for it, and often at higher prices than it’s worth. I’d suggest looking for more local, less touristy places to eat. I stayed in Los Cristianos and loved it, very lively, close to many beautiful spots and activities. It’s also super easy to get around by bus, and you can buy day passes that cover the whole island, which I definitely recommend 🏝️

Couple travel

We spent about 10 days in Tenerife and traveled as a couple. We stayed in an upper-range hotel, so definitely not low budget. One of the best decisions we made was renting a motorbike and exploring the island that way—we visited lots of different beaches and enjoyed the freedom it gave us. One absolute must-see is the El Teide and the national park surrounding it. The ride through the park is beautiful and really enjoyable. Renting a car—or even better, a motorbike—is highly recommended. Just keep in mind that the roads in the rural areas can be very narrow. Aside from that, there are many beautiful spots and bays all around the island. We especially enjoyed visiting Garachico In the evenings, we mostly stayed in the more touristy areas, which felt lively and convenient for going out or grabbing dinner.
