Alicante, the jewel of Spain’s Costa Blanca, is a vibrant and charming city located in the southeastern part of the country. Known for its beautiful sandy beaches, stunning medieval architecture, and charming old town, El Barrio de Santa Cruz, Alicante is a must-see spot for any travel enthusiast. The city’s hilltop castle, Castillo de Santa Barbara, provides breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea and the port, which is one of Spain's most important for passenger travel and is famed for its delightful fresh seafood. The city is also host to the sky-scraping festival of Las Hogueras de San Juan, filled with fireworks, music, and parades, capturing the zest for life Alicante and its locals are famous for.

I felt safe, got catcalled a lil bit because of being a racialized woman. 
But still. Great experience and nice host! 
Would recommend visiting in a day. 
I didnt get to try foods since I have little budget.
