I felt really safe in Bergen, it's a small town but very touristic and that's why it's very expensive. I stayed in a youth hostel and I used the kitchen to cook my meals. There are a lot of interesting things to do around, just go to the tourist information and they will help you to choose a cruise, a hike or other many activites. My budget was about 70 euros each day.
Posted: July 10, 2024I felt very safe in Bergen! I would recommend checking out fløyen and Bryggen! There was a lot of good food, I would recommend eating fish while you’re there! Norway is very expensive so keep that in mind, but overall I would recommend Bergen!

Spent months waiting for a spontaneous trip to Bergen, because I wanted to choose a sunny week. The travel was more expensive this way but definitely worth it! You don't need more than 2-3 days to visit every sight, but you can spend a couple more days sailing to the fjords etc. Highly recommend!

I loved Bergen! We went on one of these get your guide tours and it was really worth it! We were a family of 3 (my dad, brother and me) and we stayed at the Scandic Neptun hotel! The breakfast was included, there were 3 single beds so it was perfect for our little trip! We took the train from Oslo to Bergen and had a stop at Myrdal, where we took the Myrdal train which was worth it as well! Can really recommend it! Check out the train schedules on google maps! Super easy and reliable!
