Hello to all of the wonderful women out there! My name is Joanna. I come from Poland, but I live, study and work in northern Norway - in Tromsø. I have a degree in political science and worked testing video games for a while. I've travelled all over Europe including Albania, Switzerland, Greece, Italy or France. I also hiked a lot in polish and slovakian mountain ranges. I adore meeting new people and I'm a talkative and curious person. I have a lot of stories and observations to share. I love hiking, being out in nature, video games, alternative music and good restaurants. I love to travel and can find something fascinating in every place. I live in student housing where I can host one person at a time for a short amount of time.

I am currently 43 years old. I'm a cis-woman, and I use she/her pronouns. I identify as bisexual and queer. I'm from the north of Norway, but I chose to live somewhere with a better climate, a bit more cultural options, and one of the main reasons, easier to travel. My health had other plans, though. I got sick around 6 years ago. Today, I have an ME/CFS diagnosis and a disability pension. My capacity is low, and I haven't been able to travel much the last few years. I would love to host other women who are travelling, though. I think it's a wonderful way of getting to know interesting people. ☺️ I used to host couch surfers when I still lived up north. And I enjoyed that a lot. I don't have a car, so I can't help with transportation, unfortunately. I am an archaeologist by education, fairly interested in history. I always try to see some ruins when I travel. I like art, but I'm not particularly knowledgeable in that area. I LOVE good food, and I like to cook. I enjoy wine on occasions, but I don't go out drinking any longer. I was a part of the salsa-community, but I had to give up dancing because of my illness. My interests are diverse, from hikes, foraging, drum circles, to going to concerts, dance performances, and theatre. And just chilling, having interesting conversations. My apartment is green, gold and orange, (check tiktok) I embrace a maximising, dopamin, whitcy style. 🤣 I am leaning towards the alternative and whitcy scene. Not comfortable and knowledgeable enough to call myself a witch. More of a forager. I am a part of the local BDSM scene and a femdom community. Also, Juicebox, that's an Oslo based wlw community. (Higly recommend) I hope to meet you ☺️

Besides from that I’m doing my masters in renewable energy in Ås (close to Oslo, Norway which is where I am from). I like to do sports and just bought a kiteboard hoping that this season will be the season for kitesurfing!

I felt super safe in fact my Airbnb host always left his front door open and unlocked and I felt absolutely safe at all times. I went to loads of museums and enjoyed the art and culture a lot. If you like paintings and art it's the best place. I recommend the Natural History museum in town it's amazing you can spend ages there. I also recommend taking the water taxi and going to the fjords. Also Vigeland park is a must see. It rains a lot in the summer so waterproof clothes would be good. Food is fine, expensive and nothing too special but it's good food. I would say look for traditional stuff. Fish and the brown cheese.

I can recommend a visit to Norway anytime! Yes, a bit pricy, but the food was so good, the people were suuper kind and nice! The nature, the people, the food, the language, it is just lovely! Just check if your place is easy to travel to, since some areas can be hard to visit just by walking or bike.
