If you're in Athens, you should definitely go to the Acropolis. Then, starting at Sytagma Square, head down the shopping street and buy some chestnuts. If you have the chance, explore the city with a local who knows their way around and eat at one of the inexpensive but delicious fish restaurants. However, you should also be aware of the times of day in each area. Also, please go to the student district.

I love Athens❤️. My favourite food was gyro which I ate everyday and recommend 100%. I didn’t feel safe all the time. I went to museums, the Acropolis and more places. I walked around and took the metro to the airport which was really easy to use. One of my favourite places was the Central Market where I bought fresh fruit. I hope I will get to go to Athens again in the future.
