About me

Hello girls! I am a travel enthusiast who can't wait to explore the world's destinations from the locals' perspective. I am struggling to make money as I study Chemical Engineering in the same time so this app seems like a good idea. I live in Thessaloniki, a greek town full of life and finally with metro! I've met a lot of abroad students which helped me be open-minded and that's why I am on this app!

About me

My name is Emmanouela (Emma), Iam 18 years old living with my mom and I study primary education in the Aristotelio University of Thessaloniki. I like having fun and singing , although I’m not that good at it, and I would love to host someone from another country(I can host min 1 max 2 girls). I think it would be a very interesting experience cause I like meeting new people from other countries and learning about their culture and stuff. I would also like to be hosted😁.

Solo travel

Thessaloniki is the biggest cultural city of northern Greece and here is what I did and how I felt there during my 3 nights stay: ▪︎ It was overall safe, but being pretty crowded during that period I felt like I have to be more alert. There are also a couple neighbourhoods that you would want to avoid as a solo traveler, but again, I didn't have any bad experience whatsoever. ▪︎ I did some self exploring during the first day, just wondering around the streets and parks, which felt quite idyllic during sunset 🌇 ▪︎ Next two days I had some activities booked in advance, such as day trips to Meteora and Edessa or dinner at the Skyline lounge bar, which I totally recommend - good wine, nice view and live music ✨️🥂 ▪︎ Definetly try local food, I was a huge fan of gyros, bougatsa and bougourdi and their freddo cappuccino. ▪︎ My accommodation was located right next to the city center and I paid around 150 euros for 3 nights via Booking. ▪︎ The public transportation is also very easy to use, I had no problem getting around town or between cities, but expect high traffic on the main streets 👀 Overall, definetly visit Thessaloniki if in Greece and if you can, spare some time for beach activities too ⛱️☀️

Group travel

My friend and I stayed for two days in Thessaloniki. The food was quite tasty and affordable. People were not rude and it was a city where we felt safe. We visited the historical buildings and the castle of the city with our friends who guided and hosted us. We watched the city from the top and I recommend that you definitely watch the sunset here. ☀️☀️
