I went there with my Cousin (so it wasn't really as a couple) and we loved it, specially the beach "carro quebrado". If you go there and stay at a resort try to eat outside and visit less touristy beaches. Got some caipirinhas for R$15 or less and the food was really good! I do recommend going with a man tho and getting a car while being there, which makes it far less expensive then doing lots of tours
