About me

frensh bellow Friendly and always ready for an adventure, I love exploring new cultures and enjoying life’s simple, carefree moments. I study sociology and anthropology, so I’m endlessly curious about the world and the people in it. I’m just as happy spending a night dancing — from electro to salsa — as I am playing board games, having long chats with friends, or watching indie films. I enjoy hiking, climbing, and living simply with the essentials, and I always try to keep a positive outlook.

About me

Hi! I’m Ma-alya, I’m 21 years old and a vet student. I absolutely love to travel and discover new cultures. I’m obviously an animal lover, and I’d love to volunteer in another country with other girls :) I really want to meet other travel buddies to explore together, have fun, and just enjoy life! When I travel, I love sightseeing, doing activities like diving, snorkeling, quad biking, and all flying sports such as paragliding. I also love chilling at the beach, enjoying nightlife, singing, and dancing ✨

Brussels, Solo travel

I spent 2,5 days in Brussels and half a day in Bruges. I loved the European District, especially the House of European History, the Parlamentarium and the Hemicycle visit. If you're interested in politics or history, it's definitely worth a visit. I stayed at IBIS (city centre) and felt quite safe, though I was overly careful after reading reviews about how unsafe Brussels is supposed to be. The only place I felt worried was Brussels Midi Train Station. People were begging in front of the escalators, in such a way that you can hardly get off the escalator without them being directly in your face. There is a high police presence at this train station though, so in spite of my experience, I did not feel genuinely unsafe. I would, however, keep a closer look on my belongings in this area. I had to ask for directions in Brussels a few times and people were always kind and helpful. One more thing: If you take the underground, be aware that they have multiple lines driving on the same tracks at the same platform! Make sure you get on the right train.
