Hi! I am an Italian girl living in Brussels since 2022. I work full time on social policies and mostly from home. I can give some tips on the city and host, but sometimes I will be too busy to show you around. I decided to join the group to help boycotting other platforms and to offer a safe space for other women 🫂💖

Hi, I’m Victoria, 31, from Belgium 🌍 This September I’m starting a solo travel adventure. During this journey, I’d love to meet new people, discover inspiring projects, and share authentic moments together. I’m passionate about nature, mountains, and outdoor adventures — whether it’s hiking, exploring new horizons, or enjoying the snow when I get the chance. After a good adventure, I can’t resist a refreshing beer 🍻. I speak English, French, and Flemish, and I’m learning a bit of Spanish along the way. I also love meaningful conversations, spontaneous plans, and celebrating life with music, food, and good vibes. If you’d like to show me around your city, go on a small adventure, or simply share a nice evening together, I’d be very happy to connect ✨

Hello! ☺️ my name is Gesmina old and I’m originally from Greece 🇬🇷 but I live in Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 and I work in the Healthcare Policy (you guessed it, politics )! I LOVEEEEE traveling and meeting new people and understanding their culture and language. I really enjoy and appreciate art as I used to paint (trying to get back to it, and favorite inspiration being Van Gogh and René Magritte). I have lived in London for 5 years before moving to Belgium, where I studied psychology and then did a masters in International Politics. I love exploring and experiencing life to the fullest! You only get to live once so make sure you live it by your own rules and you enjoy it! If my friends had to describe me they would say I’m very energetic but I also enjoy a relaxing time with lovely conversations about all kids of topics, I’m very creative and I come up with fun activities on the spot if asked. i can’t wait to meet likeminded people in here and share life experiences and fun stories 😊

I spent 2,5 days in Brussels and half a day in Bruges. I loved the European District, especially the House of European History, the Parlamentarium and the Hemicycle visit. If you're interested in politics or history, it's definitely worth a visit. I stayed at IBIS (city centre) and felt quite safe, though I was overly careful after reading reviews about how unsafe Brussels is supposed to be. The only place I felt worried was Brussels Midi Train Station. People were begging in front of the escalators, in such a way that you can hardly get off the escalator without them being directly in your face. There is a high police presence at this train station though, so in spite of my experience, I did not feel genuinely unsafe. I would, however, keep a closer look on my belongings in this area. I had to ask for directions in Brussels a few times and people were always kind and helpful. One more thing: If you take the underground, be aware that they have multiple lines driving on the same tracks at the same platform! Make sure you get on the right train.

Italy
Brussels is an amazing city, so lively full of different culture and people. Everyone speaks English but the avarege life is pretty expensive especially the food. I will suggest to visit the Art Noveau houses and the gardens (there are many and all amazing). It's actually a pretty safe city but still be careful walking alone at night.
