Hello! ☺️ my name is Gesmina old and I’m originally from Greece 🇬🇷 but I live in Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 and I work in the Healthcare Policy (you guessed it, politics )! I LOVEEEEE traveling and meeting new people and understanding their culture and language. I really enjoy and appreciate art as I used to paint (trying to get back to it, and favorite inspiration being Van Gogh and René Magritte). I have lived in London for 5 years before moving to Belgium, where I studied psychology and then did a masters in International Politics. I love exploring and experiencing life to the fullest! You only get to live once so make sure you live it by your own rules and you enjoy it! If my friends had to describe me they would say I’m very energetic but I also enjoy a relaxing time with lovely conversations about all kids of topics, I’m very creative and I come up with fun activities on the spot if asked. i can’t wait to meet likeminded people in here and share life experiences and fun stories 😊

Hi! I am an Italian girl living in Brussels since 2022. I work full time on social policies and mostly from home. I can give some tips on the city and host, but sometimes I will be too busy to show you around. I decided to join the group to help boycotting other platforms and to offer a safe space for other women 🫂💖

Brussels is an amazing city, so lively full of different culture and people. Everyone speaks English but the avarege life is pretty expensive especially the food. I will suggest to visit the Art Noveau houses and the gardens (there are many and all amazing). It's actually a pretty safe city but still be careful walking alone at night.

I visited Brussels recently and overall had a good experience. I felt mostly safe during the day, but in the evenings, I noticed a lot of groups of men walking around the city center, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. That being said, the city itself is beautiful, full of historic architecture and great museums. I highly recommend visiting Grand Place, Atomium, and trying the local waffles and fries—they’re amazing. If you’re planning a short trip, 2–3 days are enough to cover the main sights. I’d suggest avoiding late evening walks alone, especially in less busy areas.
