About me

Hi! I am an Italian girl living in Brussels since 2022. I work full time on social policies and mostly from home. I can give some tips on the city and host, but sometimes I will be too busy to show you around. I decided to join the group to help boycotting other platforms and to offer a safe space for other women 🫂💖

About me

Hello! ☺️ my name is Gesmina old and I’m originally from Greece 🇬🇷 but I live in Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 and I work in the Healthcare Policy (you guessed it, politics )! I LOVEEEEE traveling and meeting new people and understanding their culture and language. I really enjoy and appreciate art as I used to paint (trying to get back to it, and favorite inspiration being Van Gogh and René Magritte). I have lived in London for 5 years before moving to Belgium, where I studied psychology and then did a masters in International Politics. I love exploring and experiencing life to the fullest! You only get to live once so make sure you live it by your own rules and you enjoy it! If my friends had to describe me they would say I’m very energetic but I also enjoy a relaxing time with lovely conversations about all kids of topics, I’m very creative and I come up with fun activities on the spot if asked. i can’t wait to meet likeminded people in here and share life experiences and fun stories 😊

About me

Hii!! I’m Jade, 26, French Lebanese currently living in Brussels, Belgium. I work in public affairs consulting and am passionate about negotiation, peace building, healthcare, sports (I run a lot! Preparing for an ultra trail at the moment), photography, writing, reading and movies. I love to chat, but I’m also very respectful of one’s space - as I also need to recharge after a day of wandering! Looking forward to meeting you ladies :)

Group travel

I fell in love with this town! It is so beautiful, a blend of London, New York, and Paris. It has so many beautiful places to go. The prices are moderate, almost same throughout the Europe. Food is delicious!

Solo travel

I spent 2,5 days in Brussels and half a day in Bruges. I loved the European District, especially the House of European History, the Parlamentarium and the Hemicycle visit. If you're interested in politics or history, it's definitely worth a visit. I stayed at IBIS (city centre) and felt quite safe, though I was overly careful after reading reviews about how unsafe Brussels is supposed to be. The only place I felt worried was Brussels Midi Train Station. People were begging in front of the escalators, in such a way that you can hardly get off the escalator without them being directly in your face. There is a high police presence at this train station though, so in spite of my experience, I did not feel genuinely unsafe. I would, however, keep a closer look on my belongings in this area. I had to ask for directions in Brussels a few times and people were always kind and helpful. One more thing: If you take the underground, be aware that they have multiple lines driving on the same tracks at the same platform! Make sure you get on the right train.
