Hi all, I love traveling, I mostly solo travel and make friends along the way. I'm very new to having a host, but I feel it's a great and safe way to make friends, especially ones that are familiar with the area. I love to hike, see new things, always up for anything whether it is day or night, inside or outside. Love animals ❤️

Obviously it depends on what area you are in but I think Texas is generally safe. Definitely still advisable to follow the regular advice of being careful when out by yourself, especially at night. Because of the culture in Texas, especially if you don’t speak English I wouldn’t recommend going to rural areas by yourself as the people are hit or miss and may not be friendly. The cities will be welcoming of foreigners and as long as you make sure you are not staying in the bad parts of town (you can look up what areas those are) you should be fine.
