Hi! I am Anfisa, I currently live and study full-time at a university in Virginia, United States. Aspiring bioengineer! have lived in South India for the past 2.5 years, where I attended the International School. I come from Russia, Siberia (beautiful mountains out there, oh gosh). I enjoy hiking, recently did a big backpacking week trip down the appalachian trail with my university friends. Over the summer, I had the experience of attending the Wilderness Rescue intense camp and learned a lot of leadership skills. I am a big traveller and thrilled to try new things in the States!

About me

Hey there! I'm originally from beautiful San Diego, California, though these days Camas, near Portland in the Pacific Northwest, is my home. I've also lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Milwaukee, Ann Arbor, Shanghai, and Chengdu. I like traveling solo because I like getting to decide exactly what I want to do... but it'd be so awesome to meet friends along the way!

About me

Hi, I’m Jami (Jamie without the E.) I’m 45, *{Leo Sun, Cancer Moon, Cancer Ascendant}*, INFP, 4w3 enneagram, AuDHD. Music lover/nerd, cat friend, born Southern (US) but looking for my next home. I’m endlessly fascinated by what shapes people into who they are. I love a deep and open conversation. (I’ve often joked that when I meet people I instantly want to ask “Soooo tell me about your childhood trauma.”) I can’t help it - tell me ALL about your life. I want to know! 😊 I dreamed of travelling in college, but at that time I didn’t have the money or resources, and the internet was still in its infancy. I’m now looking at make up for lost time. I’ve been involved in the “healing arts” for 20 years now. I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2008. My journey has also included practicing energy work, being a Birth Doula, teaching aerial yoga, training in Family Constellations, and trauma informed bodywork. I also have Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinematography & Film (that I currently don’t use.) I’m currently completing my Uranus Opposition cycle - so I’ve gone through yet another huge transformation recently and I’m rethinking everything in my life. Including where I want to live, who I want to be with, IF I want to be in a relationship at all? The only thing I’m not questioning is my path in healing modalities, and being a beacon of light and safe place for others. I know that there are SO many more people that I’m meant to love and be loved by across the world and I can’t wait to meet them all!

Is United States safe for women?

Philadelphia

Certain neighborhoods you should definitely avoid aka Kensington and Spring Garden. Otherwise totally safe. Bring a buddy if you can. Center city is rougher now but Fishtown and Northern Liberties feels safer.

Berkeley

Berkeley is relatively safe because it is mostly a college town; closer to downtown and southside there are more unhoused and mentally ill people, but if you are aware of your surroundings you will be fine. There are almost always lots of people out on the streets where there is safety in numbers.
