Bergamo
Hi there 😻 This august I'll travel around Europe w friends thanks to the interrail opportunity 🙏, and I'm looking forward to meeting new people in every city we'll visit. I'm graduating high school in Italy, and I'll study arts ( let's hope) at Venice's Academy. I'm very interested in cultural activities such as museums or visiting monuments of all kinds, but also in living the whole travelling experience to the fullest, taking every possibility to try and learn something new. If you'd like to visit my city Bergamo I got tips ✍️✍️✍️

Bergamo
Hi! I’m a nurse living in Bergamo who likes to travel alone during my (not enough) rest days from work. I really enjoy knowing new cultures and meeting new people!
During the day, Bergamo is safe, but at night it’s less so. The province of Bergamo is quite safe in areas like Torre Boldone, Ranica, Alzano, and Nembro. The city center, however, isn’t particularly safe in the evening or at night: men risk fights, thefts, or stabbings, while women may face harassment or assault. This mainly happens in the areas near the train station and along the provincial roads. I’d recommend staying in one of the towns I mentioned (it takes about 15 minutes to reach the city center by public transport, although unfortunately there are often no buses after 7:30–8:00 p.m.), or in the “Città Alta” area, also known as the Old City, or around “Via XX Settembre” and “Piazza Pontida,” which is also the main nightlife area with bars and young people. The area between Via XX Settembre and Città Alta is the wealthiest and should be safe. Avoid taking trains at night, especially those heading to/from Milan. Milan and the trains going there at night are not safe.
