Bratislava is overall quite safe. I would say that Obchodna street can be dangerous for a solo woman because there are lot of drunk people. But i was there a lot of times because of the pubs and luckily nothing happened there. But you need to be careful
Posted: September 19, 2024Bratislava is usually a safe place for women to move or walk but it is better to use public transport or taxi after midnight. I advise not to walk alone at night and in suburb areas and not talk to drunk people especially in the city centre.
Posted: September 9, 2024I think Bratislava is very safe town, I live all life there. I have been only once sexualy harrashed in public transport. And one time my bag was stolen. But if I can compare, I delt more in danger in Paris or London.
Posted: August 30, 2024Hello,
Bratislava is an ultra safe town. Never felt unsafe, even in the evening. There might be parts, of course, as in any town, but the touristy part, center is super safe. Never even thought of any issues.
Posted: August 14, 2024Bratislava is commonly save city. I only recommend to be more careful in night time and during using of public transport. In the city are also some thiefs as everywhere, but I never experienced anything. Only my friends were stolen about bike.
Posted: August 1, 2024It really it depends on the part of town, I think the old town is very safe, I've lived here all my life and nothing bad has ever happened to me. But some parts of the city like Petržalka or Vrakuňa are more dangerous.

Depends of the specific district but over all I would say that Bratislava is mostly safe. I would say it is safe also to go with public transport at night but there are option to grab a cab and be sure that you will return home safely

First of all, I would like to say that it is a very safe place for solo travel. Prices are not too high compared to other European cities. Their most famous dish is similar to halusky niyokki. you can try. Slavin, Slovak National Gallery, Blue Church, Bratislava Castle, Devin Castle are the places you should definitely go. 2 days will be enough to visit the whole city. It was pretty easy to find the buses with google maps. local people were very helpful. They generally know English. In summary, it is a place where you can go and see, but you should not keep expectatiın very high.
Posted: July 15, 2024Experienced: May, 2024It’s really safe for solo traveler to travel in their capital city, there’s not much things to do in Bratislava, I recommend to take a bus 20mins to a small town , there is a meditation circle on the hill of the town which is really amazing!
