Banská Bystrica is a relatively quiet and small city. It's a place where you can feel safe, even after dark. I've often walked home at night, and I know that nothing is likely to happen here, so I can comfortably go for a walk even late in the evening. In the evenings, there aren’t many people on the streets, except in the city center where the main restaurants and bars are located. In the morning and during the day, everything is calm as well.
Posted: June 12, 2025Banská Bystrica is considered quiet and safe. The criminal rate is not very known neither discussed. You can be worried moderately as there are always chances that maniacs can be anywhere in the world and that as a woman you will always be a bit scared, but generally I feel very safe. I never hear about things like that in my city.
Posted: December 30, 2024Banska Bystrica town in Slovakia feels genuinely okay and safe enough for me as a woman, during a day absolutely no problem, during a night from experience so far as well. If You're careful in general, there should not be any bad experience.

Hi! 👋 I’m Anna from Slovakia 🇸🇰 and I study in Bratislava, our capital city 🏙️ I’m super curious by nature ✨ — I love trying new things, even if there’s not enough time in one lifetime to master them all 🙃 Traveling and exploring different cultures is my big passion 🌍✈️ My next adventure? Seoul, South Korea 🇰🇷 (19th Aug – 6th Sept) 💫

I am ambitious law student interested in international relations and history and many other things. I love travelling and I could offer hanging out with female guests showing around the sights in Tashkent such as has Khast Imam Complex and Chorsu Bazaar and many more. I can offer to try national cuisine and meaningful conversations.
