It is pretty safe especially in the center even in a night time. But some places that are far from the center can be uncomfortable for walking in night time. Anyway every place is safe when it is daytime
Posted: May 14, 2025Moscow is very safe city, mostly all public zones under CCTV and lights are always up during evening and night. I never experienced any crime or even situation outside the house. I think for people and for woman specially here is nothing to worry about. But obviously you need to take care about your personal belongings and don't forget it somewhere.

I live in the center of Moscow and it is very safe here! Public transport runs until 1 a.m., taxis are reasonably priced, and venues are safe. Therefore, I recommend that anyone coming to Moscow should stay only in the center to enjoy walks and beautiful views of the capital!

It’s safe here more then everywhere I’ve been Plus police is very worried about what the foreigners will think that’s why IF something will happen they 100% will help So I don’t think you need to be bothered about your safety in Moscow
Posted: May 11, 2025It’s a very safe country since police authorities are everywhere. Women dont have to worry about anything since Moscow people are very kind (especially the younger generation) and willing to help if there’s anything troubling you.

Based on my experience Moscow is a safe place. When I was a student I used to walk in the city for whole nights with my female friends without any accidents. But if you wanna do it far from the centre, it could be not that much safe. Public transport is very clean and I don’t feel dangerous even when I come home late.

If you are in the center of the city, it’s safe, but the further away you are, the more dangerous it is in dark times. It’s better to live inside MKAD and not to go for a walk at the evening alone.

Moscow is the safest city I know, I was born there and my travelling experience says that it’s one of the most safest cities in the world comparing to Barcelona/Rio de Janeiro/Paris/Sao Paulo for example

I would say mostly safe. It depends on the neighborhood I guess. In the city center I always feel safe, but when I’m coming back home late at night, there are sometimes sus men in the streets and public transport. But tbh they are always there, everywhere around the world. During the day, I have experienced some harassment outside. But it’s also not like I’m worried about it all the time.
Posted: May 5, 2025It all depends on the district. If you live in a private house, you will be fine, because private sectors in the Moscow region are protected. But if you live in a disadvantaged area behind the Moscow Ring Ring Area and you are a girl, it will be uncomfortable to walk alone at night. Everything is fine in the center, and in general within the central ring, but in areas with a huge number of high-rise buildings you need to be more careful
Posted: May 3, 2025It was a really nice trip. You can travel on a budget. There’s lots to see and do. I’d definitely try local cuisine, there’s a wide choice of dineries. Taxi is affordable, safe. Avoid travelling in the rush hour, the streets can be blocked.
