It's pretty safe. The crime level is level as it was a small province. There's not much people here. There's not really much to do here at all. Perfect for overlooking cafes and places. So pretty safe I guess.

City— it’s very alive, especially at night and people are helpful. In case of emergencies, there are many security officers that can attend to your needs and people are very alert when it comes to being accommodated well.

I did a solo trip in Siquijor mid-january this year. I felt welcomed and safe, aside from one instance where this drunk local kept pestering me to drive me home. Other than that, foreign locals and other locals helped me out of the situation. There's little to none public transport so I rent a motorbike and I can confidenly say that it is very safe to drive even at night. Locals are very easy to communicate too, and they they are all very friendly. I'll definitely go back!
Posted: April 7, 2025Personally I don't have any experiences yet. But teenagers and children here are being kidnapped and many believe because of a syndicate that sells human organs in the black market. Apart from that mostly it's good to walk around my neighborhood. However, wherever you are in the world, O believe there's no truly safe space out here and still be careful.
Posted: March 24, 2025Personnaly, I didn't feel safe at all in the Philippines. There were looking at me in a weird way. I heard lit of stealing stories. I couldn't even think to be outside at night. Specially, cebu and manila.
Posted: March 15, 2025We went on a night out in Moalboal as a group of girls and had no issues all evening. We moved bars a couple of times due to the vibes and ended up drinking a lot. We all felt safe the whole time. Locals were friendly and helpful and we felt safe the whole time.
Posted: February 18, 2025Its okay if you have experience with solo travel but if youre a foreigner it is very scary since people here think you’re rich, it makes you look like a walking target for muggers and kidnappers. I would be careful with that and research the places you will visit first. There are parts of the Philippines that is fairly safe.

Posted: January 22, 2025Cubao, Quezon City is pretty safe, a lot of working professionals in my area. I have been living here since 2018 and it has been pretty safe. There are police making rounds and a lot of security guards as well.
