Is Siquijor safe for solo female travelers?

Siquijor is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It is not too built up or overrun by tourism. I don't dive but apparently it is a great location for this. There are lots of marine sanctuaries where you can snorkel right from the beach, over coral and amazing fish, sometimes even turtles or porpoise if you're lucky. It's not the most accessible island if you dont rent a scooter or a tour driver for the day, but if you're happy to just soak in natural beauty and watch the world go...

I did a solo trip in Siquijor mid-january this year. I felt welcomed and safe, aside from one instance where this drunk local kept pestering me to drive me home. Other than that, foreign locals and other locals helped me out of the situation. There's little to none public transport so I rent a motorbike and I can confidenly say that it is very safe to drive even at night. Locals are very easy to communicate too, and they they are all very friendly. I'll definitely go back!
