Lagos is generally an unsafe place. From the presence of thugs to the corruption of the police. Lagos is a misogynistic state and it shows in how harassment is treated and taken as the norm. There are definitely safe parts of Lagos. Those are the parts I would recommend to tourists
Posted: January 25, 2025I just moved to Lagos, I wouldn’t recommend a female friend moving around alone at night. And always have some money on your pocket since here even the police stops you to ask for some money, so just to avoid the headache is better to have change to give away if needed.

Abeokuta is home to the prestigious Olump rock, Adire fabrics and an immersive cultural experience. If you've heard any Fela songs, this is where he is from. Abeokuta is overall peaceful, safe for female solo travellers, friendly and accommodating. You will love it there.

I cannot provide a definitive answer to how safe Nigeria is. Safety is a complex issue that varies greatly depending on location, time of day, and individual circumstances, but generally it's Moderately safe in urban areas but quite unsafe in rural areas.
Posted: June 12, 2024Well, Lagos is divided into two popularly known as Lagos Island and Lagos Mainland. Lagos island is for the wealthy aristocrats, it's also a place that attracts investors from all over the world. Lagos mainland on the other hand is pretty rough and notorious for criminal activities. But, as a foreigner exploring Lagos be it on the Island or mainland, the locals are really welcoming. The only thing that a foreigner should be aware of is safeguarding their important documents and money

My experience in Lagos was fun, adventurous, though the traffic there is hell but I still enjoyed my stay there. Good food, nice people, nice and busy place to visit. It's somewhere you just need to visit and you will live your experience with the right people or person
Posted: August 21, 2024Going to Nigeria by road is not advisable. It is better to go by air than by road. there are checkpoints that charge money that should not be charged from Togo through Benin to Nigeria. It is stressful.
