Overall great city to live in, great beaches, lots of caffes and stores. Theres an amzing big park, and lots of smaller once, the public transport is not super reliable but still very acessible, train station and buses. Lots of outside gyms and a couple of new shoping centers. Small veriaty of hotels tho and probably no hostels at all. Very close to another city Ashdod, Ashdod is bigger and has lots more activities, shoping centers and hotels.
Posted: July 17, 2025I live there so I know how to manage and I feel safe, but it’s important to stay aware while walking in the dark. A lot of homeless people in the streets, but they are harmless and you don’t need to be scared. The city never sleeps, so there is no creepy feeling in the streets.

Most Tel Aviv is very safe for women, you can walk alone at night with no problem. I work nightshifts, so before i had a car i used to walk back home. Everything is lit up, and the crime level is very low. This being said about central and northern parts of the city. South Tel Aviv, especially Tahana Merkazit is not safe in the last years due to illegal immigrants, so its better to avoid this area during night hours.

I only feel unsafe/uncomfortable when i walk alone at night but mostly because i'm paranoid. Of course like any place, you should always stay aware of your surroundings, but overall, it feels like a safe and comfortable place to live.

I feel pretty safe in Haifa, but it depends on the area. Hadar is best avoided at night, but higher up on the mountain it's completely safe. there is a mixed population here, but mostly it is nice and quiet

I travelled alone to the Dead Sea destination on a pre-booked transfer, that brought me and other travellers to the hotels. My hotel was ‘Oasis Spa Club Dead Sea Hotel -18 plus’, i think it’s the best place to stay there in this budget category. Very modern and stylish. I recommend for total relax and cute pics ☺️ The dead sea beaches are near, all sunbeds are free of charge. This recreation area of the country is popular with elder people, and mostly women, so this is the safest place to travel alone. Every grandma will admire you there 😀
Posted: April 11, 2025I felt unease most of the time. While at salt lake, outside Jerusalem of course, perverts were taking pictures of naked women there. While back at the city, local markets kept flirting with me(I was below 18 yrs old), even when I said i had a partner. Also heard some racist things thrown around so it was just odd. Nature is stunning tho.
