How safe is Chambéry?

Chambery is a small town where you can easily go everywhere by walking ! The city center is very cute and the city is connected to other places by bus which are very safe to take ! I never felt uncomfortable there!

Chambery is a little town, it’s safe compare to other french city. It’s calm, but the best is to be careful as always as women. I do not really feel danger in Chambery , maybe it’s better to avoid the train station at night
Posted: April 25, 2025I feel quite safe. Although, I think the city turns off the lights after midnight during the week and probably at around 1 am during the weekend so I wouldn't recommend staying outside for too long in the evening, unless you have a car, because the city is really in the dark.
