I would say it IS safe Of course common sense is somethig to use always :) Certain districts are different, but i would say it is much safer than what I have read about Barcelona thiefs, foe example. I homestly have no clue what to say and how to rate it
Posted: March 27, 2025Very safe city! No worries walking around when it’s dark and public transport was good Haven’t witnessed any crime or harrassment there so not worried myself about that. No catcallers or people making me uncomfortable personally
Posted: March 9, 2025In general, it is quite safe to travel in Estonia both day and night. In my opinion, only in bigger cities in some areas there are bigger possibility for criminal acts. Most of the time, the main "fear" is wild animals, as Estonia has more small rural areas and towns than big cities.😀

Tallinn is overall very safe. There is some kind of sketchy places like Lasnamäe because there are lot of Russians and drunk / homeless people. There are lot of drugging in clubs so watch your drinks but overall safe.

Very safe overall, people are sweet and reserved. They help you, but they mind their own business. It goes both for men and women. Only people you might look out for are Russians, especially as a woman.

Tartu is a small city in Estonia. Here lives mostly students and this city is known as a college city. Everyone is really sweet and friendly. I haven’t heard or seen of bad acts here in Tartu. Nobody should be worrying about safety here! Everything is alright 😇
Posted: February 18, 2025Small country and nothing happens in here Russian gangs look Weird but no one really does anything and everyone keeps on themself and now one wants to talk with no one. If in trouble people will help you
Posted: February 14, 2025It’s safe here most people just stay away from you since no one really liked tourists. You can still ask for help if you need anything. Most people are respectful and don’t come close or try to talk if you don’t want to talk with them
Posted: February 13, 2025Its really safe even walking around at night time. I have never had a negative experience in here. Lots of people know English so its easy to get help. Just around all town maybe being careful about your bag can make sense but still I never heard any steals from people. Don’t worry just try to have fun!
Posted: February 9, 2025Because Haapsalu is so little, we don’t have much problems here. Streets are safe and walking in the city is safe, even in the dark. Don’t have any pickpockets nor people who would try to scam you in the streets to buy something. People are friendly and ready to help if needed. Almost everyone can speak English to some extent and can understand it.

As a single trip at first I didn’t feel so safe, but when talking to people and asking everyone agreed that the capital of Estonia-Tallin is a fairly safe city. The historical center is a really great place, and you can easily find it and see all of the interesting places in 1,5 day… I expend just 7-8 hours there because I had to take a fly from Tallin to another place.
Posted: March 14, 2025I felt very safe there. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Although some people didn’t understand Estonian and had to talk Russian. But overall people spoke Estonian and probably could have spoken English if needed. Really recommend walking in the town. It’s so pretty and magical. Also really recommend Sillamäe museums. Really interesting if you’re interested in history.
