Great place every time 😌 Exquisite food options, local breweries, thrifting, historical old town, things work well in general 🫶 Bolt is very affordable way to move around, as is the puböic transport too. Nightlife is lively!
Posted: July 19, 2026Experienced: June, 2026I traveled to Tallinn this january with my best friend for both of our birthdays. We went to amazing thrift stores but the thing that impressed me the most in Tallinn was the easy public transport. It was really simple to use and made our trip so relaxing.
Posted: March 15, 2026I did like to visit the capital of Estonia but it is very expensive for me and since it's expensive there it took down the experience for me. But overall it is a great city and would recommend visiting

Tallinn is a Winter Wonderland and that was actually my first thought when I first landed there. I stayed for 3 months in Tallinn and I had no other choice than to actually fall deeply in love with the city and the country in general! I would love to return and relive everything again and again. For me, everything was dreamy and I am very grateful for the people I met during my stay and for everything in general!

The medieval atmosphere in Tallinn is amazing. It has so many hidden spots and a vibrant nightlife. It is also very safe. The inner city is well-lit, and most people are quiet and calm. They keep to themselves and will not bother you with anything.
Posted: July 20, 2025Tallinn was incredible! It is a small (at least the old town) mediaeval town absolutely gorgeous. We went there with a group of friends and spent 2 lovely days visiting. The city felt very safe (but I was never alone). I would really recommend doing a walking tour (we did the free tour called Tales of Reval which I really recommend). And for food we really liked Pulla bakery and Rataskaevu 16.
Posted: May 12, 2025Experienced: March, 2025As a single trip at first I didn’t feel so safe, but when talking to people and asking everyone agreed that the capital of Estonia-Tallin is a fairly safe city. The historical center is a really great place, and you can easily find it and see all of the interesting places in 1,5 day… I expend just 7-8 hours there because I had to take a fly from Tallin to another place.
Posted: March 14, 2025Tallinn was a very nice city! My family and I went over the holidays and it is a beautiful city. The old center is quite touristy and a bit more expensive than the rest of the city. But overall really worth it! I wouldn’t recommend staying for too long as it’s relatively small, three days should be enough!
Posted: January 24, 2025Experienced: November, 2024I feel safe because I travelled for work and were with my colleagues. It kinda reminded my hometown, it was nice. Havent seen any red flags, prices are normal as in Baltic countries prices. I would suggest to try their national candies - Kalev!

Overall, I felt really safe in Tallinn. I would recommand going to Pirita Beach, visit the old town and take a bus to go into one of the bog around Tallinn if you are there in summer. The bog I would recommand is the Viru Bog, one hour away from Tallinn but really worth it! I would also suggest to go to the Kalev Coffee shop, in the old town. It is the oldest one is the city and it's really good!

I have lived in Tallinn almost my whole life. In my experience Tallinn is very safe. There is almost no pickpocketing, violence or harassment. You can calmly hold your phone in your backpocket without worries. And you generally dont have to fear for your safety even at night as a solo woman. This has been my experience and might not be the case for everyone!! The only places I dont recommend going to (only at night) are Lasnamäe and some parts of Mustamäe and Õismäe. These are residential areas...
Posted: August 17, 2026Tallinn is a very safe and tranquil town. I have never once experienced a negative interaction during daytime. At night you may encounter some drunken tourists shouting and bothering you, but it's minimal. Avoid Lasnamäe and Musumägi, stay vigilant in Russian-speaking crowds. Crime rate is low, I leave my bag in cafes without attendance and nothing happens to it.
Posted: August 8, 2026Tallinn is one of the safest places you can visit. Just take normal precautions. Keep your belongings close, don’t go to sketchy dark streets alone, never leave your drink alone etc and you will be fine.
Posted: July 6, 2026Tallinn is overall very safe! In quieter districts you can have evening and nighttime walks with a peace of mind. But be careful of drunk people near Balti jaam train station at night. Wouldn't reccommend wandering the streets of Lasnamäe at night either.
Posted: June 12, 2026Tallinn is overall very safe. Maybe in Lasnamäe there are more Russians that mean more temperament, but if ur not looking for trouble, i’m not sure ur gonna get it. Overall everything has changed to being safer.

Tallinn is a relatively safe city, for example you can leave your stuff at your table at a restaurant and use the bathroom, and it will be the most natural thing to do - to not worry about somebody taking it. When you lose an item, it is more common for you to go back to that same place and see it placed on some table or given to some nearby shopkeeper than for it to be gone completely.

Hello!! Im Paula:D Im a curious, openminded and positive person. I love traveling and meeting new people🫶 I have a million hobbies and interests. I like to explore and this is why i have been led to so many places, people and interests. Im a solo traveler but it feels wrong to say that because I always meet so many people that i am almost never alone😆 As a traveler i like to see the city, experience the food, culture and nightlife. As well as the nature and places in the country side that most people miss. 🌿🌱 My fave things to do when visiting a new country is exploring their grocery stores and thrifting/vintage shopping😽 I would say that I am an extrovert and pretty social but I still need to recharge after exhausting travel days. I think one bonus point about hosting me is that I always pack/buy too many clothes that i need to give away. So if we are the same size you will probably end up with some of my clothes😆 Kisses 💋
