Hurghada is really very safe. I grew up there and would often take public transport to go home 1 am and I always felt really safe. The men are very respectful and when the bus is crowded during rush hour or so they would give me their chairs and stand up instead. I even once lost my wallet and it was returned to me after 2 days through a Facebook group eith everything in it. Even the money wasn't missing anything.

It's a very safe place full of tourists. Food is good. But the shop vendors are very arrogant and if you don't need to buy anything just don't approach them. All beaches are private. It's nice city but small.
Posted: November 15, 2023Experienced: August, 2023I was with a friend at an all-inclusive resort in Hurghada and we didn't encounter any dangerous situations - but we decided not to venture outside the hotel complex. There, we felt safe and comfortable. The only problem was that when we tried to walk around the tourist shops, we returned after 5 minutes straight to our hotel - not due to safety concerns, but because of the pushiness of the shopkeepers.
