Posted: June 14, 2025Cairo is relatively big city & it offers diversity of backgrounds cause it is the center of business in Egypt. People are kind & helpful yet you have to be very cautious while interacting with anyone there. Verify infos through asking trusted people & searching the info through web

Cairo is a really big city and there you will diffenietly meet nice and bad people. Egyptians are normally really welcoming people, and they DO LOVE FOREIGNERS a lot. But men sometimes annoy them as they think it is easier to get them also some people will offer higher prices for the products so I think it is better to walk with a local person. I do recommend you all to come but just talk care. Do not walk alone at night and do not make long conversations with random guys. Stay safe u all🫶🏻🫶🏻
Posted: June 2, 2025Its not bad if you stay in the developed areas but going into unknown areas where you dont have someone who knows people will get you hurt even as an Egyptian. Its very easy to invite a friend who’s goal is everyones safety for an overall better experience and efficiency in exploration

Cairo is pretty safe if you know the dos and don’ts there so try to always get the experience of a local to avoid any kind of trouble, if you’re by yourself try to be in the touristy areas, and if you want to experience the local non-touristy places try to do it with a local. Stay safe ladies.

What I love about here is that really it's the safest I see, as long as it's light outside you are good to go wherever, just make sure in public transport you don't get near men try to set near a woman for safety of sexual harassment. I didn't have the experience of robbery or getting attacked or something like that.thank god. Yeah also make sure crossing the streets to take care bec that's something to worry about in Egypt. We don't have a system for streets, so people and cars and motorcycles are a problem sometimes

Cairo is a wonderful city, full of monuments and places to visit. Luckily I met some locals that took my friend and I to different places and took care of everything. Even if it was a great trip I have to admit that the safety was not the best. Especially as a woman. I felt watched and followed by men. I never went outside alone, and I will not try. Nothing happened to me but I would feel quite unsafe if I were on a solo trip. Also, everyone tries to scam tourists. Although the feeling is safety is not the best. Egyptians are still really nice and some are really helpful.

I came to Cairo with my sister and my grandma. We came with a tour company for a day, and visited the great pyramids of Giza. We visited the mosque of al-Zahir Baybars, and Egyptian Museum, which was my childhood dream, because we could see the real mummies. After that we went to Giza by tour bus. It was really hot but the experience was phenomenal. We had a lunch at the nearby cafe, organised by the tour company. Overall, I’d say Egypt is good for travelling with a group or a family. I would not go there alone, as I would not feel safe enough doing so. I wore long pants and a long-sleeved shirt on my trip for safety and sun protection.
