Hi I’m Jimena I’m American by nationality but ethnically proud Mexican solo female traveler currently on a trip around Europe I would love to use this experience to meet people and learn their culture. I can also would love to share stories of life and just experience the city through your eyes. I personally started traveling when I was young through Mexico seeing the pyramids and the rich culture of my country inspired me to travel outside when i could. I could give you recommendations for Mexico and help you with your Spanish. Nos vemos! ☺️. If you’re ever in Chicago let me know!

Seeking quality guests as too many guests on Couchsurfing are outright rude or irresponsible -- or both. Also, too many nudists and/or sexual predators on that site. Too few female hosts. Hello! I am Josie Shadbolt (23) and I’m from Nebraska USA! I love travel and want to go everywhere, my main focus right now is Asia and I absolutely love Japan! I’m currently learning Japanese and would love someone to help me learn. My family owns and runs a cow/calf operation here in the Sandhills of Nebraska. We are proud horsemen/women and have amazing landscape views. I would recommend seeing small town rural USA, it’s often overlooked and I think that’s such a shame! Anyone who would be interested in seeing it for yourself, don’t hesitate to reach out. :)

Hello everyone, my name is Jesse, Currently working as a babysitter and as a kindergarten teacher assistant. One of my favorite things to do while visiting different countries is to try the different kinds of snacks and traditional foods. I also love to learn new languages, I'm fluent in español, english and portugues. Another thing I enjoy while traveling is making new friends, it is so nice to meet like-minded people on the road that they become little treasures. 💖

Hi all! I’m Eden. I’m a reasonably seasoned traveler. I spent a year in Europe, mostly in Spain. I did a month of van life in Florida. I traveled for work for two years along the West Coast of the USA. I’m currently living long term in Chicago. I love getting to know new people/fellow travelers and witnessing people for exactly who they are. Im extremely open minded and believe every person has a good heart. I spend most of my time working with reiki, meditation/wellness, and divine femininity practice. My passions include wellness healing and social justice activism. Looking forward to meeting whoever I cross paths with ❤️

Durham

I love my city! I have been to over 29 different countries so I am well traveled. Durham is great because it blends intellect, creativity, and authenticity in a way few mid-sized cities manage. Anchored by Duke University and the Research Triangle, it attracts smart, curious people without feeling elitist. The food scene is nationally recognized yet still approachable, driven by chefs who experiment and stay rooted in the community. Durham’s arts and music culture feels lived-in, not performative, with murals, festivals, and local venues shaping daily life. Its Black history and civil rights legacy are visible and honored, giving the city depth and perspective. Nature is never far away, with trails, rivers, and forests minutes from downtown. The city is social and fun without being overwhelming, from Bulls games to DPAC shows to neighborhood farmers markets. Durham values individuality and weirdness, which fuels its reputation as “Little Portland” without copying anyone else. It’s a place where startups, nonprofits, artists, and families genuinely coexist. Most of all, Durham feels real—welcoming, evolving, and confident in exactly what it is.

I’m a high school language teacher, and although I’m older, I have a youthful attitude. I like to meet new people, try new food, and learn something new as I explore new places. I prefer spending longer times in 1 place rather than a day or two in many places. Plain and simple. I love to host visitors and take them around, too.

Large national park with a cute town outside of it. You could make several day trips through the park and hike with different views if you want. We only had one full hiking day. We stayed at a renovated motel and had access to great food including vegetarian options. This was the most amazing dark sky area I have been to for stargazing.
