About me

I'm a lawyer, who likes to travel. I speak more or less 7 languages (English, German, Spanish, Portugal, Serbian/Croat/Bosnian/Montenegrian, some Greek, even less Italian and even less French). Sometimes I look for a travel companion, sometimes I like to host in my place, which is a safe space, especially if you like cats. I can offer travel info in Slovenia and Croatia and if time permits also a drive to some nice place in Slovenia.

Is Slovenia safe to travel?

4.7 /5

Based on 26 experiences

Group travel experience

I felt very safe. Me and my Boyfriend drove around with our car and slept at parking places. It was overall quite cheap. Most of the Time we were near a river called soca. It's a beautiful river that I'd like to recommend.

Solo travel experience

Slovenia is by far one of the safest countries, especially for solo female travelers. Reason; well, basically barely anyone around and people leave each other alone, but will help you when you ask. I visited Ljubljana and went to an abandoned hotel, which was super cool. Then I went to Kranj, stayed in a hostel with view on nature and visited Lake bled!! You can walk through cities, but if you wanna visit other towns you should use Flixbus, Train or Arriva Bus. Super underrated country, nature was 10/10 and it is cheap

About Me

I'm a political science student at the University of Warsaw. I started travelling when I was 15. My first travel was a 2,5 months cruise from Poland to Italy. That was the moment when I knew that travelling is something for me. I also like to meet new people and make genuine connections. I'm always happy for new experiences and I never say no if someone offers me to go together to a new place.

Is Slovenia worth visiting?

Overall rating

4.6 /5

Solo travel experience

It’s a cozy and cheap but gorgeous version of Switzerland. Highly recommend spending a week of two to explore all regions by car or camper etc. People are mostly chill but not particularly cheerful or nice.

Couple travel experience

Slovenia is such a beautiful country. The people are incredibly friendly and it has some of the most beautiful mountains views and waterfalls I have ever seen!! I feel this is a country for everyone: you like hiking? Triglav national park is your place. You like spa breaks? There are hundreds of thermal spas around the country. You like sight seeing? Lots of historical sights for you to visit !! The only downside is the food. I must say in bled (where I stayed) the food wasn’t that great. However when we visited the city there were loads of cute cafes and nice restaurants there
