About me

I'm a lawyer, who likes to travel. I speak more or less 7 languages (English, German, Spanish, Portugal, Serbian/Croat/Bosnian/Montenegrian, some Greek, even less Italian and even less French). Sometimes I look for a travel companion, sometimes I like to host in my place, which is a safe space, especially if you like cats. I can offer travel info in Slovenia and Croatia and if time permits also a drive to some nice place in Slovenia.

Is Slovenia safe to travel?

4.8 /5

Slovenia, Family travel

We felt really safe. We stayed each day in a different accommodation and without fail everyone was very nice and helpful. I recommend checking out the capital, it's really charming and easy to check out as it is pretty small compared to other European capitals. And of course there's Bled, which is breathtaking. I highly recommend 3-4 days in the area of the national park, there's just so many beautiful things to see and so many fun things to do. Piran is another beauty of Slovenia I wouldn't mind visiting again! As for transportation, each time I visited the country it was always by car. It is very easy to get around by cars. I'd however recommend planning beforehand and booking the accomodations in advance. It was hard to find something for the same night especially around the national park area.

Ljubljana, Group travel

I spend an amazing week in Ljubljana, Slovenia with my friends. We explored the city, went to some bars, climbed to the castle. The atmosphere in the city is really cozy, it feels like a smaller version of Vienna:) People are super friendly, almost everyone knows English. I felt rather safe but I think it was also because I was never alone. So that might depend on if you're a solo traveler. Overall I really enjoyed the trip and definitely recommend visiting Ljubljana!

Bled, Solo travel

I travelled there alone and it was really amazing ! It is a very crowded place in the summer but my stay still was relaxing and peacefull. I stayed at Pr Močn wich is a really small hostel that I really recommend. It's cheap, really close to the lake and it feels like home. I met so many nice people there ! The main attraction is the lake where you can do kayak, stand up paddle, a boat tour... You can go on the little island in the middle of the lake, where you can find a little church to visit and a really nice place to get ice cream. There are also a lot of hiking trail around there. So if you love nature and calm it's an amazing place to go !

Slovenia, Solo travel

It’s a cozy and cheap but gorgeous version of Switzerland. Highly recommend spending a week of two to explore all regions by car or camper etc. People are mostly chill but not particularly cheerful or nice.
