About me

Hi, I’m Serli — your future host and possibly your new favorite person in Jakarta’s outskirts! I speak several languages (and I’m still learning more), so we can communicate in words… or with food, smiles, and hand gestures if needed. I’m friendly, easy-going, and always curious about people’s stories. I can take you to explore local markets, quiet parks, or hidden cafés where time feels slower. If you’re lucky, I might even cook you something delicious — or we can cook together and pretend we’re on a cooking show. I live in a peaceful neighborhood, just 15 minutes from Soekarno–Hatta Airport. No, it’s not noisy here (planes don’t drop by for coffee), and yes, it’s safe and full of friendly faces. You’ll get a cozy shared room, clean sheets, a warm blanket, and a second-floor balcony where you can watch the sky change colors in the evening. I’m the kind of host who can chat for hours… or let you enjoy your peace in complete silence. Either way, you’ll feel at home. Just remember: in my house, laughter is free, but washing your dishes is mandatory. 😉

About me

I am English Teacher, working in Kure, Hiroshima. I am also doing my postgrade so sadly no time to travel this year 😭, but I am more than happy to host. What else do people say 🤔...oh I am very friendly, love washing every food container and I am surrounded by dying plants, honestly they are mocking me, My one plant has been in stasis for a year, green as grass, and yet, no new leaf (super power I tell you, it creeps me out a bit)

About me

Hi! I’m an American Expat currently living in Okinawa, Japan. I moved here in Nov 2024 from Italy, where I had been living for the 4 years prior. I live with my partner, Francisco, whom is also an expat that I met in Italy 3 years ago. Together, we have a passion for traveling and really enjoying the culture of the countries we travel and stay in. I think we have traveled to 35 countries together now (I lost count)! I also live with my two lovely feline lifelines, Luna and Gio. They are quite the adventure cats. What I love most about travel is the perspective it provides and the enamor and awe one can experience through it. I want to do what I can to facilitate that experience for other travelers and find like minded free spirits that are just passing through.

Japan, Group travel

I felt pretty safe walking around in Tokyo. We stayed there for about 2 weeks. I knew someone local. Getting around was pretty simple, but one should have the Pasmo app or any related on. It makes it much easier to travel by metro. The food was good and I suggest also trying more local looking restaurants. Keep in mind that you might have to pay cash then. I was also a bit surprised of the English speaking level
