It is annoyingly safe. It is so safe it's actually boring. There are ofc some parts of the city where I personaly would not go at night withou pepper spray but overall even if you have to go outside at night the chanves of something more than cat calling are almost 0%. I lived there for 18 years so when I say its safe I really mean it :)

Very safe. Slovenia is generally one of the most safest countries in the world. Maribor is the second largest city and in all my life I had only experienced few weird occasions where I felt unsafe, but nothing major or life threathening. Just use common sense and you should be fine.
Posted: July 24, 2025It’s quite safe except a few cat callers and drunks who will sometimes latch onto a body part sometimes. There’s only a few beggars and even they keep more to themselves than anything. Some men don’t get the aspect of personal boundaries but you can just push them away and they won’t really start a fight

Hi! 🌼🌷🌺My name is Rebeka but friends call me Dia. I am from Maribor, Slovenia... A small but special town in a small and unique country. Filled with diverse and friendly people. I live as an artist, painter and love to travel so I can use new insights in the portraits and artwork I do. I love meeting new people, hang out, share stories and laugh. A lot😃 I don't take life too seriously, am spontaneous and I love change and challenge. Other than that I enjoy peaceful days and evenings by myself and share them with those around. I wish you wonderful travels and if you're in Slovenia🇸🇮 feel free to contact me 🌊✈️🏝🏕🏞

I am interested for nature, sports, and spending my days outside. More than 25 years of experience in international corporations and the desire to dedicate myself to a less stressful environment led me to move to the country. Speaking German Slovenian English Serbian
