I've never experienced anything that has made me feel unsafe in my years living here. I guess so long as you always listen to your gut instinct, you'll be absolutely fine !! The night life here is good as well ! Just make sure you have someone looking after you as a women 🥰 We gotta stick together
Posted: May 12, 2025Wellington is most safe depending on what areas you stay in. The city centre is great, well lit and plenty people around. I would avoid the night clubs though, that’s what typically makes the city feel unsafe

I'm an Australian New Zealander who has traveled all my life. I have a background in broadcasting but now teach English to adults. Conversation with other travelers is one of my favourite things.

Relocating from the USA to Wellington on June 4. Staying in the CBD the month of June and relocating to Lowry Bay in July. I am a very diverse person with multiple interest with an adventure, spirit and respect for the land. I love all things, outdoors, art, music, dancing, food, and adventure. I will be celebrating my 39th birthday shortly after arriving. Meeting local women who have experience of living in New Zealand for guidance and friendship is welcome.

Kia Ora! I'm Amke, I'm originally from Germany but have been living in NZ the past 6 years. I love traveling and I'd love to meet some amazing women while doing so! I'm a chaotic good, cat person, love a quick dance when waiting for the bus/in line/ in general and can't wait to travel again!
