It’s pretty safe! Capital of NZ but very small. Walkable even at night. Obviously always be careful of your drink, and people on drugs… Very honest country if you lose something it is usually found by the community. Hospo community looks after eachother. We have Facebook groups in place to warm eachother of trouble people.

I've never experienced anything that has made me feel unsafe in my years living here. I guess so long as you always listen to your gut instinct, you'll be absolutely fine !! The night life here is good as well ! Just make sure you have someone looking after you as a women 🥰 We gotta stick together

Wellington is most safe depending on what areas you stay in. The city centre is great, well lit and plenty people around. I would avoid the night clubs though, that’s what typically makes the city feel unsafe
