Solo travel

Very cute wee town with a good vibe to it and a beautiful drive on either side. If you’re looking to relax a bit and this is the stop for you. Nothing overly exciting going on but surrounded by beautiful nature and lovely hikes.

Solo travel

Kaikōura was my first destination while on my solo south road trip . The seals were the first thing to greet me in Kaikoura , I could watch them all day . I stayed in a freedom camping spot( south end carpark) I think . It was amazing views the beach was right there. The ranger came that night to check on the campers, he was really lovely . The next morning I went to the seal colony and did the cliff top walk . I highly recommend this !
