Is Limon safe for solo female travelers?

Limon has many great experiences to offer but like any major city, it can have its challenges. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing and purse snatching are common in crowded areas. Attention should be taken especially at night in less populated or poorly lit areas. However, locals are generally friendly and helpful.
