It was the most beaitiful trek i everd had. I would give my everything to live that moment again. I have been visting/trekking other place as well but gorkha (manaslu circuit) larke pass is something that is unforgettable.
Posted: May 8, 2025Experienced: July, 2022Yeah it's a safe place but yeah be careful there might be accident due to excessive vehicles on road. Food was also well served as well as people are kind and helpful.Kathmandu felt like a living tapestry of tradition, energy, and warmth. I didn’t want to leave—but I had to float back to the cloud.”
Posted: May 2, 2025Experienced: December, 2024Nepal is very safe . Very nice people they don't scam you. Night Life is great. Super friendly people most of them speak Hindi English. Even I paid more to bus driver he gave it back such a nice place. People are hospitable. Food is superb .

Absolutely loved my experience in Pokhara, Nepal. I stayed there for a week but I'm dying to go back. There's just so much to explore, the city is stunning and the people are really nice. I stayed in a hostel called Forest Lake in the Lakeside area and I can't recommend it enough!! Went paragliding, hired a little canoe to get to the temple in the middle of the lake... To move around, I recommend using the app Pathao (it's like the local Uber) to get rides on motorbikes.
Posted: February 27, 2025Experienced: March, 2024I have traveled solo in Nepal for a month. I felt very welcome, I haven't any bad experience to tell really. People were just lovely. Most activity i have done is trekking solo. I haven't had any guide with me. Totally worth it.
Posted: January 28, 2025I was sightseeing with two other tourists so I guess I felt safe but you will get approached by people/kids on the street trying to convince you to buy something. Everything’s pretty cheap which might make you want to get everything haha but definitely expect to spend some money on souvenirs.
Posted: January 21, 2025It was amazing. I had such a great time. Nepal is so peaceful and everything is super cheap, people are friendly. I would go there anytime anyday if you ask me. Best for hiking, solo trips etc. Internet is very bad though.

I spent a week in Kathmandu. I felt super safe the whole time I was there. One of my favourite activities was to walk through the streets just enjoying being one of the crowd. The city was very dusty but the people were very friendly. One fantastic experience I had was in my search for a kushti I stopped in this little shop which was about as big as a cupboard. The young man tending the store was super helpful - he unwrapped everyone one of the mountains of packages to find me a kushti that was suitable before introducing me to his sister and sharing tea. My only regret from Kathmandu was not taking advantage of an App that enables you to hire a motorbike to take you around. A wonderful place to visit
Posted: August 14, 2024Everest Base Camp - Cho La pass - Gokyo Ri 16.05 - 31.05 The Everest Base Camp trek has a bit of a bad rep, with concerns about rubbish, overcrowding, sherpa/porter conditions. I had the same concerns, but I think it’s important to experience things ourselves where possible. I can wholly recommend going solo, the trails are well marked and offline maps work well. The end of the season has led to empty guesthouses, giving my money to local families, many whomn have been inspirational mountaineers & have summited many of these incredible Himilayan mountains. I have been so encouraged to see rubbish initiatives, @sagarmathanext & picking up rubbish as I walk with places to deposit on the way as well as initiatives to take kilos back after walking. I had a 5am start to summit Gokyo Ri at 5357m. Going without a tour/guide/porter meant I was able to afford this experience (£650, which included a £165 flight to Lukla, it cost 2 days and £24 on the way back down with a 7 hour jeep & 14 hour bus). I felt confident walking solo, with experience of the Annapurna & walking in Japan; but I wasn’t without doubts or fears. There’s a fine line between encouraging everyone to equally being responsible in the mountains & at altitude. But do all the research to overcome barriers, if it feels scary - try, keep breathing, be slow, get good insurance

It is safe i am out till 11 pm and the local markets here are easily open till 8-9 pm. I roam around the city at anytime, sometimes i need to go check some of my friends mid night and i really dont have to re think of going out.
Posted: May 8, 2025Overall very safe and everyone is really friendly…. Just need to use some common sense and avoid shady places!! Recently went on solo trek and everyone was very friendly and supportive…. Just need to avoid some shady people and talk straight into the face!!
