Is Bhaktapur Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Bhaktapur is relatively safe at night with a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. However, some streets can get quite dark after sunset. It is not common to see many locals out past 10 PM except in central areas with restaurants and businesses. As in any city, solo female travelers should use common sense and caution, especially when walking alone at night. It's always a good idea to stick to well-lit, populated areas and avoid less frequented places after dark. In general, people are helpful and crime rates are low, but it’s wise to stay alert.
