I felt very safe and at home. The wildlife and society is very beautiful and welcoming. The culture is pretty cool too, I caught a few festivals in telluride. There’s lots of fun things to do and fun people to do them with.

I've been traveling my butt off since before the internet, lived in Scotland, Japan, Spain, Holland, the Philippines, Czech Republic...and I'm not done yet. I'm not married, no kids - I look after my 74yo mom and little dog in Grand Junction, Colorado. I will soon be living about 75 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia most of the year. My big ask here is a place to stay in Edinburgh, Scotland for a few nights, roughly Aug 6-9, 2025. I used to live there, 1992-2000, and I want to visit my old haunts, maybe have dinner with my ex and take pics at the University of Edinburgh, where I got my masters. I would normally avoid Edinburgh in August (I assume the Fringe and Festival are still huge), but my friends overrode my objections for booking a manor house near Aviemore Aug 9-23. I figure it will be worse after.
