How safe is Dubai?

Safety at night:

Safety at night:Safe

Dubai is recognized as a safe destination for solo female travelers, even at night. It has strict laws and highly effective law enforcement that together discourage crime. Street lighting is excellent and the city is well-monitored with security cameras. However, cultural norms regarding dress and behavior are different than in Western countries. While walking alone at night, it's important to respect these norms, stay aware of your surroundings and use common sense to avoid potential discomfort.
Public transportation:

Public transportation:Very safe

Dubai is renowned as one of the safest cities in the world. Public transportation, including buses, trams, and Dubai Metro, are highly secure with well-maintained infrastructure, CCTV surveillance and very rare instances of crime. Women-only sections in trains are also available, which promotes further safety and comfort. Hence, the journey is generally very safe for solo female travelers whist using public transportation in Dubai.
Street harassment:

Street harassment:Low

Dubai, being a popular global city, maintains a good level of safety measures. The local law enforcement is quite strict about public etiquettes and ensuring the safety of all visitors, especially women. Occasional instances of staring or unwanted attention can, however, occur especially in the more traditional areas. Despite these, most areas in Dubai are relatively free from street harassment, particularly in the city centers where the majority of tourists and expatriates stay.
Petty crimes:

Petty crimes:Low

Dubai, part of the United Arab Emirates, is considered one of the safest cities in the world. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing or purse-snatching are typically low in comparison to other global cities. However, as with any major city, it's always advised to stay vigilant, mindful of your belongings and avoid less crowded areas especially during late hours. Dubai police are very efficient and responsive which adds to the secure environment.

honestly it's hard to describe this experience. I really enjoyed my holiday but I didn't like Dubai itself. lots of entertainment and things to do but overall a terrible place in terms of how the city is built. the only really convenient way to get around is by car. the prices are high. everything there is made for one category of people, there is no niche. I was supposed to feel safe in Dubai but I didn't. there were no out of the ordinary situations but I felt anxious. the overall impression is: cool, definitely worth visiting once in a lifetime, but no desire to come there often

Solo travel

It was safe, it was nice, the shopping experience is amazing, there are a lot of things to do there. The magic garden, the global village, the Chinese food and burger in Dubai JBR, the metro rides that makes everything closer.

Solo travel

Yes i feel very safe there, people in Dubai are very open-Minded, friendly and nice. I could ask about everything and everyone was so kind for me (as a foreigner in solo trip). Dubai by night was so beautiful and magical.

Solo travel

I felt safe. In general, it’s possible to reach popular places by public transport. It’s also affordable to rent a car, if you’d like. In my opinion, there is no lots of things to do, you can visit high recommended places in 4-5 days

Solo travel

My first international trip was to Dubai (united Arabic Emirates) . This country especially Dubai is a safe city where the girl can go out at midnight with no fear. The food there is good. About transportation: don't take Taxi everytime because it's more expensive. Use metro or the bus . If anyone going there don't miss sheikh zayed mosque in Abu Dhabi

Dubai is a city where women can travel at ease. You can go out anytime of the day and night and no one will touch. Staring is normal especially if you are wearing something vulgar however cameras are everywhere and people are abiding the law so there is no need to worry about safety.

Dubai is one of the safest places to be, as a woman I still recommend solo traveling ladies to stay cautious and avoid meeting people in private places, always meet strangers in public places like malls and restaurants or even tourist attractions.
